You can get your own free or paid version of the Amazon shop - http://www.associate-o-matic.com/ software for your own website for Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com, Amazon.de and Amazon.ca - literally you can market millions of products for free with an Amazon shop. You may also wish to check out GhostScipter for Amazon software. I have used both Amazon shop scripts (software) and I have now moved more to the associate-o-matic software as I find it very powerful and easy to be configured. You can use Amazon's own aStore on your website and it is as easy as a b c to set-up and use and you do not even require a website, you can use a free blog and create a link to your "shop". Still check out the software shown below for one of the best Amazon shopping scripts on the market..
I recently read on the Amazon.com forum that a company is selling "membership" to the Amazon associate programme. I have news for you the Amazon associate programme is free for anyone, anywhere, to join and it is shame that people get ripped off with this.
Another thing that is happening at the moment is people are buying ready made websites selling Amazon products on the "hope" or "promise" that they will make loads of money. Well as another person on the forum said, if the companies selling these websites could make money out of them why would they sell them to you? the answer if obvious, it is not easy to make big money out of any website unless you are very lucky or you get a lot of visitors to your website and this takes content, interesting content not just adverts.
While I love the associate-o-matic software at I also love the new aStores available for your website when you join Amazon as an associate. I have just spent about an hour playing with aStore to create one for a website I am developing on Maps of Scotland and I have integrated an Amazon aStore Map shop along wiht a Google based Map of Scotland on this site.
And if you do not have a website, say you have a blog on blogger then you can still create an aStore and have it hosted for free with Amazon as you can see on my Amazon Maps site on Amazon.co.uk, simply amazing - and remember it is completly free to join Amazon as an associate and by doing so you continue to help make Amazon one of the most successful online shopping experience in the world. You also help market the products on sale by thousands of sellers who use the Amazon Marketplace to make a living.
You do not need money, or at least you do not need a lot of money to sell Amazon products, you need a website or a blog and Internet Access. You do need a lot of time, ideas on creating an interesting website ... and patience. You also need to realise that you will probably not make a lot of money unless you are willing to put a considerable amount of time and effort into it, have some luck and use other advertising on your website as well. Please remember "There is no such thing as a free lunch". If something seems too good to be true, such as unlimited wealth for NO EFFORT, then you are getting scammed. Below I offer a few free ideas on making money from your website, these ideas are not perfect, they are free!
You can get free copy of the Amazon associate shop software from Justin's website ( Associate-O-Matic Lite) - and for every 10th sale the sales commission goes to the hard working developer. The paid version is around about $100 or £50 approx with an annual payment of $20 / £10 for product upgrades after the first year.
If you prefer to do it on your own then you can create product links galore for free using the free tools provided by Amazon including the new aShop - an Amazon Shop on your own website. I personally love the new feature on Amazon.com for Amazon Product reviews and you can see it used on our website on Wildlife.
Amazon.co.uk - Amazon.com - Amazon.ca - Amazon.de - Amazon.fr - Amazon.jp
For Amazon Germany, France and Japan it does help if you can read / write the language. I have used Google translate to help me out, however with the Amazon Japan site I could not figure it out. Anyway good luck if you decide to sign up
To become an Amazon Associate you need to have a website or blog which is deemed suitable by Amazon, in other words it should be a website of reasonable quality, it does not however need to be flashy or created by professional web designers, it can easily be a hobby website where you create your website using low cost website design software, or where you have created a free blog account with Google's Blogger.com - the choice and range of how you deliver web content is up to you, ideally though it should be a website which attracts a daily number of visitors who will be interested in what you are "selling"
